Good things come to those who wait

I am easing into re-acquainting myself with having the Internet at home; it came on Friday.
I realize many of my loyal and devoted readers have been missing my characteristic eclectic thought process, my sentimental observances on life's tender moments and the odd rant about things I hear in the news or read online--all of it based on my brilliant wit and snappy sarcasm.
My daughter's been here this week and was chatting on Messenger within seconds after the Shaw technician exited my house.
Spending time with her always opens me up to a series of movies I would not watch were it not for her. Why, this past week, we went to see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and have watched Lindsay Lohan in Get a Clue (2002) and Mean Girls (2004) and a new release which is sure to go down in the annals? (or is it with one 'n' and no 's?') of B-movie kid classics, The Adventures of Shark Boy and Lava Girl.
In addition, I've indulged in Rolo ice cream - copious amounts - and tonight we're going 5-pin bowling cuz' Kamloops does not have a 10-pin alley, which baffles me.
School has been a challenge for everyone so far as we are faced with having to 'do school' without the aid of a TRU day planner. Both the Cariboo Student Society and the company who manufactures them have dropped the ball with this one. It bounced up, really high, and we're still waiting for them to land on the desk at the CSS office.

My film class this semester will have exploring films of the American frontier a.k.a. films of the western genre--a stetch for those who know me, right Auren?
But I'm enjoying it so far in spite of the number of cowboy hats and Indian headresses I've seen.

Alright, GTJ my daughter wants to check her blog on MSN Space.

Hey Scott, you might want to turn on the "verified comments" option that Alain uses, it prevents spam comments like those ones.

But anyways! Kamloops used to have a 10-pin alley and it was decent, but I guess it never got enough business.

And speaking of Westerns, the movie "Four Brothers" has been described by a lot of people as an urban western. Kinda neat, you might want to check into it for a change from the cowboys.

I took that class, and it was quite boring, but I'm not really into Westerns either, and its before my time so I don't have the background that other people might. But it did give me insight into life in rural Alberta, lol.

I managed a decent mark though. With Ron Smith you just gotta, at the very least, pretend you're interested and you'll do fine.
